About Me

My passion for art in all forms is never ending and all consuming.

I love an image with a narrative, a reason for being, a story board, a start, middle and end,

A friend who is a fellow artist handed me a Leica SL in 1983, briefly explained the relationship between aperture and speed and pointed me towards a 14th century Abbey with a roll of black & white film. Having spent the afternoon relishing this fine manual camara and thoroughly enjoying this new experience, we processed the films and spent the entire night printing, this continued with earnest for the next 15 years with manual camaras and traditional printing until i discovered photoshop 3.1 and the rest, as they say, is history.

Although I am completely digital nowadays I am looking to integrate traditional printing into my portfolio at some point, I miss the process of both using my old manual Canon F1 which is very different to digital in your entire approach to developing an image and the magic of traditional printing.

In the last 25 years I have worked as a fine artist painting with oils on canvas, I have co-owned a sculpture studio working with both bronze and resin but throughout all my self taught endeavours, photography has always been my first love and together with photoshop I am able to realise my epic dreams.

There are so many stories to be told, people to be immortalised, nudes to be realised and landscapes to be remembered that sometimes I barely know where to begin, but over the coming months and years this website will grow rapidly with my take on life.

My influences include Dali, Rodin, Helmet Newton, Snowden and Escher amoungst others, those who follow their dreams, dedicate their lives to supreme tool craft and quality of thought.

I will dig deep to the best of me to achieve my goals and very much look forward to sharing my ideas with the world.
